The Pierrot tongue cleaner removes bacteria that build up on the tongue. This comfortable-grip tongue cleaner has scraping strips on one side that remove bacteria that cause bad breath, and rubber bristles on the other side that remove debris from the tongue through massage.
Why clean your tongue?
The mouth teems with bacteria, and most of it is found on the tongue, where food particles and dead skin cells build up between the small brush-like papillae. An overgrowth of bacteria can lead to side effects like bad breath, but the plaque that builds up on the tongue also migrates to the teeth, where it can contribute to tartar formation, and debris stuck to the tongue can also make it look greyish.
How to clean your tongue?
Slide the scraper with even pressure, moving from the back of the tongue forward, to avoid accidentally swallowing the debris collected on the scraper. Rinse the scraper with water and repeat until you feel your tongue is clean. It’s recommended to clean your tongue as often as you brush your teeth – that is, twice a day.
